Khumbu region
Nireka is one of the least known and least frequented 6000m peaks in Khumbu. It is not far from the paths traveled by thousands of tourists every year, but remains hidden behind the Cho La Pass and Lobouche. It is necessary to have the discoverer’s spirit to find and engage along its WSW crest. This sharp and steep spur that leads to higher ice plateaus is very aesthetic and has exposed sections where you don’t have to be afraid of the void in order to appreciate the magnificent scenery all around: they will be the Chackung with its 7000 m, the Ama Dablam , the North face of the Cholatse to catch our eyes and make us dream.
Zigzagging through the crevasses and old seracs you reach the aerial summit and the view sweeps from Pumori to Everest and Makalu just beyond. No mountain will remain out of 360 degrees. A climb to approach the high altitude technical peaks.
